Kairoscope Terms of Use

In short

  • Who. Kairoscope is run by an individual, Yevhen Orestov. Contact: kairoscope.contact@gmail.com (§1).
  • What it is. A calendar built around a circular dial ("Dayring"): events, tasks, sharing with friends, reminders, an AI assistant, and read-only sync with Google and Microsoft. Plus an optional emotion diary and medication reminders (§2).
  • Not medicine. Kairoscope is not a medical device, does not diagnose, and is not a substitute for professional care (§2).
  • Age. 16 and over; from 13 in EU member states that have set a lower digital consent age (§3).
  • Money. Some features need a Kairoscope Premium subscription, which auto-renews. You pay, manage and cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account; deleting the app does not cancel it (§6).
  • AI features. Only run once you opt in, and no AI action is applied without your confirmation (§5).
  • Leaving. You can delete your account any time from your profile — this deletes your data per the Privacy Policy (§9).
  • Law and language. Ukrainian law applies; for EU users this does not limit mandatory consumer and data-protection rights. The Ukrainian version is the authentic one (§12).

This is a summary, not the document. The full text below is what binds; where the two differ, it governs.

1. Who runs this

Kairoscope is run by an individual, Yevhen Orestov. Contact: kairoscope.contact@gmail.com. When you register — with an email, and also with Google or Apple from the sign-up screen — we ask you to confirm separately that you have read and accept these terms and the Privacy Policy; we keep the date of that confirmation and the revision of the documents it applied to. One route still has no such question: if an account is created by a first sign-in with Google or Apple from the sign-in screen, we do not ask for a separate confirmation and store nothing about one — there, acceptance of these terms follows from your use of the service. We intend to close that route; while it is open, saying so plainly is better than claiming a check that does not happen.

2. What Kairoscope is

A calendar built around a circular dial ("Dayring"): events, tasks, sharing with friends, reminders, an AI assistant, and read-only sync with external calendars (Google, Microsoft).

Kairoscope also includes an emotional state diary and medication reminders. This is health data. Both features are optional: diary entries exist only when you write them, and medication reminders stay off until you turn them on. Diary notes and medication labels are stored encrypted, and diary entries go to AI only after your separate explicit consent in your profile. You can export or erase the diary independently of the rest of your account — under Settings, in the "Emotion diary" section, in the app and on the web alike; a copy of everything else, medications included, comes from the account export in your profile. Kairoscope is not a medical device, does not diagnose, and is not a substitute for professional care.

3. Age

The service is intended for people aged 16 and over. In EU member states that have set a lower digital consent age (from 13), it may be used from that age. When you register we ask you to confirm that you meet that threshold — with the same exception for social sign-in from the sign-in screen described in §1. AI features over the emotion diary require a separate confirmation that you are 16 or older in any case; it can be withdrawn in Settings.

4. Your content

You're responsible for the events, tasks, and notes you create. Don't upload unlawful content or use sharing to harass or spam other users.

5. AI features

Voice transcription, the chat assistant, and suggestions run through our AI providers (OpenAI for text; Groq for speech recognition, with OpenAI Whisper as fallback) and only activate after you explicitly opt in in your profile; the full list is in the Privacy Policy. Facts (overlaps, free slots) are computed on our server; the AI only phrases text or proposes an action. No AI action (create/edit/share an event) is applied without your confirmation.

6. Subscriptions (Kairoscope Premium)

Some features require a Kairoscope Premium subscription, which is an auto-renewable subscription. Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account on purchase confirmation. It renews automatically for the same period at the same price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your App Store / Google Play account settings after purchase — deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. The name, length, and price are shown in the app before you buy. Access may also be granted via a promo code. Any unused portion of a free trial (if offered) is forfeited when you buy a subscription.

7. Availability

The service is provided "as is", with no uptime guarantee. Maintenance downtime may occur.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for data loss or missed events caused by a failure of the service, network, or a third-party provider (push, AI, calendar sync).

9. Termination

You can delete your account any time from your profile — this deletes your data per the Privacy Policy. We may suspend an account that violates these terms.

10. Third-party integrations (Google Calendar)

Connecting Google Calendar is optional and grants Kairoscope read-only access to your calendar to show your existing events alongside your Kairoscope events. Kairoscope's use of Google data is governed by our Privacy Policy and the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Your Google account itself is governed by Google's terms. You can disconnect sync and revoke access anytime in your Profile or at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

11. Changes

These terms may change. Material changes are announced in the app. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new version.

12. Governing law and language

These terms are governed by the law of Ukraine. For EU users, this doesn't limit mandatory consumer or data-protection rights under EU law.

These terms are published in Ukrainian, English, Spanish and French. The Ukrainian version is the authoritative one; the others are translations provided for convenience, and in case of any discrepancy the Ukrainian text prevails. This does not take away any right your own country's law gives you for having contracted in your own language, and does not limit the mandatory rights mentioned above.
